Montes Malbec Classic

The 2015 season was dry with considerable luminosity and very good temperatures which enabled the fruit to grow free of the threat of disease. Despite being a summer with very high temperatures-including some historic peaks in March-the grapes reached harvest without excessive dehydration and produced wines with balanced alcohol levels. The grapes arrived at the winery in very healthy condition and produced very attractive colors good tannins and with excellent phenolic maturation. This season we have changed some of the technological aspects in the cellar such as fermenting at somewhat lower temperatures while maintaining our policy of not macerating with stems and preventing an excess of mechanical work. The changes resulted in very elegant well-balanced wines with beautiful color but most importantly great harmony.
