Holdredge Pinot Noir Russian River

Each year this wine a blend of 8 vineyards and 15 different clones of Pinot Noir is our tete de cuvee- the compilation of the pieces we thought tasted best together. Pinot Noir is said to be transparent; for me the transparency in this wine is that each year it reveals our blending decisions. In general there was a lushness and a generosity to 2015 as a vintage the spirit of the year was unhurried- and this wine reveals that spirit. It is floral ripe packed with fruit and aromatically it’s just beguiling but there is a real grace within it that reminds me so much of how that year felt. It’s fantastic with a very wide range of food and as yummy as it is it will continue to improve over the next 5-7 years. Only 979 cases made. – Holdredge
